Ingredients
Scale
4 (6 ounce) salmon fillets, skin on or off
4 tablespoons unsalted butter, melted
3 cloves garlic, minced
1 tablespoon fresh lemon juice
1 teaspoon dried parsley
1/2 teaspoon dried dill
1/4 teaspoon salt
1/8 teaspoon black pepper
1 lemon, thinly sliced for topping
Instructions
Preheat your oven to 400 degrees Fahrenheit. Line a baking sheet with parchment paper for easy cleanup.
In a small bowl, whisk together the melted butter, minced garlic, lemon juice, parsley, dill, salt, and pepper. This creates your garlic butter sauce.
Place the salmon fillets on the prepared baking sheet.
Spoon the garlic butter mixture evenly over the top of each salmon fillet.
Arrange a few thin lemon slices on top of each fillet, if desired.
Bake for 12 to 15 minutes, depending on the thickness of your fillets, until the salmon flakes easily with a fork.
Serve immediately as a healthy baked salmon dish.
Notes
For crispy skin, place the salmon skin-side down on a wire rack set over the baking sheet before baking.
If you prefer a slightly sweeter glaze, add 1 teaspoon of honey to the butter mixture for a honey garlic butter salmon variation.
This recipe is excellent for quick salmon dinner ideas and pairs well with roasted asparagus or lemon orzo.
