Make tender, juicy steak bites effortlessly in your slow cooker. This recipe uses a simple garlic butter sauce for rich flavor, perfect for a set it and forget it weeknight dinner.

  • 2 lbs sirloin steak, cut into 1-inch cubes
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 1/2 teaspoon black pepper
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1/2 cup beef broth
  • 1/2 cup butter, cut into pieces
  • 4 cloves garlic, minced
  • 2 tablespoons Worcestershire sauce
  • 1 tablespoon fresh parsley, chopped (for garnish)

Instructions

  1. Place the cubed sirloin steak into the basin of your slow cooker.
  2. Sprinkle the steak cubes evenly with salt, pepper, and garlic powder. Toss gently to coat.
  3. Pour the beef broth and Worcestershire sauce over the steak.
  4. Arrange the pieces of butter on top of the steak cubes.
  5. Cover the slow cooker and cook on LOW for 3 to 4 hours, or on HIGH for 1.5 to 2 hours, until the steak is tender.
  6. About 30 minutes before serving, stir in the minced garlic.
  7. Serve the crockpot steak bites hot, garnished with fresh parsley, over mashed potatoes or rice.

Notes

  • For extra flavor, you can sear the steak bites quickly in a hot skillet before adding them to the slow cooker.
  • If you prefer a thicker sauce, mix 1 tablespoon of cornstarch with 2 tablespoons of cold water and stir this slurry into the slow cooker during the last 15 minutes of cooking.
  • This recipe works well with sirloin or tender cuts of beef.
