Ingredients

Scale
  • 2 oz Vodka
  • 1 oz Fresh Lime Juice
  • 3 oz Apple Cider (unfiltered preferred)
  • 4 oz Ginger Beer (spicy variety recommended)
  • Ice
  • Garnish: Cinnamon stick and thin apple slices

Instructions

  1. Chill your copper mug or highball glass before starting.
  2. Fill the mug completely with ice.
  3. Pour the vodka and fresh lime juice over the ice.
  4. Add the apple cider to the mug.
  5. Top the mixture with ginger beer.
  6. Gently stir the drink once or twice to combine the ingredients without losing carbonation.
  7. Garnish with a cinnamon stick and a thin slice of apple placed on the rim.
  8. Serve this quick cocktail immediately.

Notes

  • For batch preparation, mix the vodka, lime juice, and apple cider ahead of time. Store the mixer in the refrigerator for up to 24 hours. Do not add the ginger beer until serving.
  • To make a batch for 8 servings, multiply the vodka, lime juice, and cider amounts by 8. Keep the ginger beer separate.
  • Use a high-quality, spicy ginger beer to balance the sweetness of the apple cider.
  • If you prefer a warmer flavor, lightly muddle a small piece of fresh ginger in the bottom of the mug before adding ice.
